2. Fill out form Corp. 59. Its full name is the Statement of Change of Registered Agent and/or Registered Office, and it serves LLCs as well as corporations. Have the new agent sign it or supply written consent.
3. Submit to the Corporations Division. The statement goes to the Missouri Secretary of State, Corporations Division, with the $10 filing fee, on paper or through the online portal.
4. Confirmation. The Secretary of State updates your record. Your new agent is now official.

One Rule Worth Knowing

The Corp. 59 instructions state flatly that a company cannot act as its own agent. Add the eligibility list in RSMo 347.030 (resident individuals or authorized corporations) and self-appointment is off the table entirely. A separate person or company has to hold the role.
