Switching Your Missouri Registered Agent: One Form, Ten Dollars

Dependable registered agent service throughout Missouri — $99 annually. That fee covers the office address, scanning of legal correspondence, and reminders for state filings.

Missouri cityscape

Missouri makes this about as painless as state filings get. One statement, a $10 fee, and the Secretary of State does the rest. No reason to stay with a service that is not working for you.

How It Works

  1. Line up the new agent. Eligible agents are individual Missouri residents whose business office is the registered office, or corporations authorized in Missouri. Missouri Registered Agent.co qualifies.
  2. Fill out form Corp. 59. Its full name is the Statement of Change of Registered Agent and/or Registered Office, and it serves LLCs as well as corporations. Have the new agent sign it or supply written consent.
  3. Submit to the Corporations Division. The statement goes to the Missouri Secretary of State, Corporations Division, with the $10 filing fee, on paper or through the online portal.
  4. Confirmation. The Secretary of State updates your record. Your new agent is now official.

That is the entire process. Straightforward, affordable, and fast.

The state's current form set lives on its business filings page, and every filing charge, the $10 included, appears in the Corporations Division fee schedule.

One Rule Worth Knowing

The Corp. 59 instructions state flatly that a company cannot act as its own agent. Add the eligibility list in RSMo 347.030 (resident individuals or authorized corporations) and self-appointment is off the table entirely. A separate person or company has to hold the role.

The price is right. $99/year for complete service. Many agents charge $200-$400+ for the same thing.

Documents arrive fast. We scan documents the same day they arrive and send them straight to your inbox. No delays, no backlog.

Everything is digital. Portal access, email notifications, document archive — all included.

No annual report headaches. Missouri does not require annual reports for LLCs, but if any compliance situation affects your entity, we send alerts.

Privacy protection. Our Missouri address on your public filings, not your home address.

Friendly support. Ask a question, get a real answer from a real person.

The Transition

Your old agent stays responsible until the Secretary of State officially processes your change. No gap in coverage. Once the update takes effect, we receive all future documents.

After enrollment, we give you the exact name and address details to put on your Corp. 59 statement. File it, pay the fee, and you are done.

One Reminder

Collect any outstanding documents from your previous agent before the switch is complete. We cannot retrieve their files or historical records on your behalf.
